Cosmic Suckerpunch, unsigned L.A rock band, is a blend of cultures and musical influences; from Radiohead and Pink Floyd, to The Doors and Led Zeppelin. Cosmic Suckerpunch’s synergy creates a new and unique rock experience. Lionel picked up the guitar as a young passionate teenager and has evolved into a distinctive and highly creative, emotionally charged songwriter and singer.   It wasn’t long before Lionel hunkered down in his studio apartment in New York City and began posting his music and videos online.  These have quickly gained the attention of over a million viewers and listeners.
The YouTube posting of his song “Freeze My Senses”, recorded in his apartment, attracted almost 900,000 viewers alone.  His wistful and tenderly soulful performance of the song became the key musical element of the massive Spanish Christmas Lottery television campaign in 2008, one of the most anticipated advertising campaigns in Europe each year.  Reaction to the television commercial catapulted both “Freeze My Senses” and his self-produced collection entitled Songs of Want and Loss into iTunes Spanish Top 10 Digital Sales charts.  Add to that, his poignant yet hopeful song “Brothers Again” was recently featured in an Austrian television commercial campaign for Eduscho Coffee, one of the most prominent coffee brands in that market.
